Bio

Businessman, ruthless live performer, wins the crowd in one track.

Rapper/producer, rhymes on 3 simultaneous mics, makes beats with live instruments and analog tubes like Swizz Beats, resulting in loud, gory sounds like Kenny Beats, blending an odd amalgam of today's beats like Denzel Curry or Travis Scott with experimental sounds of MF Doom, Earl Sweatshirt, Madlib and Run the Jewels with Missy Elliott and true oldschool influences like Public Enemy and Beastie Boys.

Former entrepreneur Businessman (aka Boss Man aka Kevin Gray, producer tag "Business Paper") originally from Amsterdam, moved to East Harlem to fully submerge in underground hip-hop culture with the touch of an original oudsider, creating something completely different with full respect for the greatness of the culture.

Achievements include shows in legendary SOBs, Manhattan for Daze Summit, and at the Quality Control DJ East Coast Tour Winner's Flnale in Atlanta, GA. Made one-track-win 1st prize on the Culture Weekend in Brooklyn and 2nd prize on the Fly Me Out competition in Queens within the same week. At a showcase for Quality Control DJs got the jam-packed venue to sing along with a song they never heard before. Appeared on a 2-hour interview special with Jonny Fastlane on Radio Free Brooklyn, a piece in Living Icon Magazine. and Indleflex Music Magazine. Several shows at open mics in Acoustik Garden Lounge, 66 Greenpoint. Also appearances at the halftime show at Fashion Week Brooklyn (twice!) and on the Ron Alexander TV show, open mics all over BK, BX and Manhattan, and memorable shows in Nuyorican Poets Café, learning Businessman songs on the spot to jazz musicians, then performing them live, gaining him the instant moniker "conductor of the Amsterdam Philharmonic".
